Pet Talk Pet of the Week!

Ruger, San Antonio, TX
March 20, 2006

Hallo, Mein Name ist Ruger. I'll be 2 yrs old this May, and have learned all my Obedience in my Native German tongue! I live with my folks in Lakehills, TX along with a rescued dog, and 3 cats, and I'm the baby of the pack! I love to go for rides in the car or walks with my Mom if I'm not at home chasing squirrels in the yard or playing tug-o-war with anyone who will humor me!

Ruger had really bad allergies, but after some sage advice from experienced Rottie breeders I met in a Rottie chat ring, I was advised to put him on Old Mother Hubbard's Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato dog food, and it has done him WONDERS! He has one sore left, but it's healing, and his allergies have really cleared up! Good thing he's a Momma's Boy, because he weighs at least as much as I do. He's big on giving me chest hugs and he's also quite the "talker" whenever I love on him and talk gently into his ear.I highly recommend owners getting involved in chat groups if they have any problems with their dogs because there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to be found there.

SchnauzerPet Talk Pet Of the Week:
Gunther, Phoenix, AZ

Meet "Gunther". We adopted him at the age of 8 months from the Arizona Miniature Schnauzer Rescue. Our 10 year old "Erika" (then 9) seemed lonely and out of sorts since losing our sweet "Gus" a few months earlier, so that is why we decided to go to rescue. He came to us a whirling dervish! He has calmed down somewhat but still needs some training to make him perfect. Both my husband, Len and myself are totally in love with this little guy. He turned 16 months old just this past Thursday. What a sweetie!
